The Victorian Cancer Plan Monitoring and Evaluation Framework 2023 progress report notes that the state has met or is making progress toward several goals of the 2020–2024 plan, including the target to save 10,000 Victorians by 2025. The VICS are an essential mechanism to support many of the plan's goals.

The VICS Optimal Care Summits program has identified 20 ‘unwarranted variations’ in oesophagogastric (OG) cancer care and outcomes in Victoria. Read the full list below.
