SMS Pro Project to launch on 26 April 2022
This SMS Project supports increased capability and communication between clinicians and patients. Symptom management research has demonstrated the effectiveness of Patient Reported Outcomes (PROs) using mobile technologies to stay in touch with patients.
GICS will be launching trials with sites on 26 April 2022 with pilots due to conclude towards the end of this year.

Cancer Survivor Guide Podcasts
The Cancer Survivor Guide podcasts are a series of podcasts designed and created by GICS Consumer Advisory Group (CAG); a group of dedicated volunteers who have had cancer, or cared for someone with cancer.
We are pleased to share that we have recently released Series 3 which includes two new podcasts titled
'Welcome to Survivorship' and 'Fed up with Fatigue'.
Telehealth Clinical Guidelines

GICS has commenced a collaborative approach of implementing a sustainable telehealth model for the Medical Oncology Outpatients unit, located at the Ballarat Regional Integrated Cancer Centre (BRICC).
Project achievements so far include; establishing a telehealth working group consisting of members from Medical Oncology Outpatients; organising telehealth training and support for administration officers and clinicians; and developing in collaboration with BRICC, the resource Telehealth Clinical Guidelines - Patient selection for oncology consults.
