As part of strengthening the workforce in oncology, a series of educational webinars presented by a range of academic experts.

WDHS sought to develop and implement a geriatric oncology pilot project which commenced in January 2024. BSWRICS committed funding to support the appointment of a project officer and provide project management guidance.

The BSW Regional MDM QOOL-Vic Implementation Project supported and funded by BSWRICS adopted a regional approach to implementing the QOOL-Vic MDM software.

BSWRICS in partnership with the BSW Health Service Partnership agreed to support the scoping and establishment of cancer care at home, or closer to home, at some health services.

BSWRICS worked with 2 Regional Cancer Centres to create independent service plans that address the needs of each local community whilst ensuring an overarching regional approach.

In May 2021, BSWRICS funded a clinical project worker to develop and implement a trismus intervention model of care within Barwon Health Cancer Service

On Friday 16 May 2025, BSWRICS is partnering with Barwon South Western Regional Palliative Care Consortium to host a BSW Palliative Care Forum. This free event will be run concurrently at both Geelong and Warrnambool.
