About Us

Grampians Integrated Cancer Service (GICS) are one of eight geographically based service improvement teams located in Victoria. GICS has a remit to facilitate quality cancer care, system integration & collaboration among service providers within the Grampians region.

We build relationships between health care providers and other cancer care stakeholders to develop, implement and evaluate initiatives that improve the Grampians health services providing care and support to people affected by cancer.

About us
Our Region

Our region stretches from the South Australian border in the west to Bacchus Marsh in the east and from Edenhope to Hopetoun in the north. The area covers almost 50,000 square kilometres and a population of nearly 220,000 people.

Governance

The GICS Governance Group comprises of people affected by cancer, health professionals, health service administrators and the Victorian Department of Health.

The role of the GICS Governance Group is to provide leadership, vision and overall accountability for GICS, ensuring an integrated and collaborative approach to consistent high quality cancer care in Victoria.

The Governance Group maintains a sustainable model for collaboration of cancer service providers in our region.
