First Nations Cancer Coordinator Toolkit launch
Western & Central Melbourne Integrated Cancer Service (WCMICS) is pleased to invite you to the launch of our First Nations Cancer Coordinator Toolkit.
Date: Wednesday 30th July
Format: In-person
Time: 9-10am, followed by morning tea
Location: Level 13, VCCC Building, 305 Grattan St, Melbourne
This event marks the official release of the First Nations Cancer Coordinator (FNCC) Toolkit – a pioneering, community-informed resource that supports culturally safe, trusted, and coordinated cancer care for First Nations people.
The FNCC Toolkit is the result of a co-designed pilot at the Royal Melbourne Hospital, guided by the Optimal Care Pathway for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people with cancer (PDF) and VACCHO’s Victorian Aboriginal Cancer Journey Strategy 2023–2028 (PDF). It offers a practical model for embedding cultural safety across the cancer care continuum—before diagnosis, during treatment, and beyond.
