HRICS First MK Program Showcase Highlights Innovation and Impact
HRICS were proud to host our very first MK Grants Program Showcase on 24th July 2025, marking an exciting milestone for our Michael Kalimnios Memorial Funded Program. This showcase event introduced the first wave of projects supported through the program and highlighted the incredible work underway across our region.
The Showcase is a new initiative designed to provide project teams with a platform to share their progress, reflect on lessons learned, and celebrate achievements to date. It also offers valuable opportunities for peer learning, collaboration, and recognition of impact these projects are already having.
Four projects were featured at the event:
- “Palliative care packs for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people” – Albury Wodonga Aboriginal Health Service (AWAHS)*
- “Prostate Centre Clinical Placement” – Albury Wodonga Health (AWH)
- “Enhancing consumer experience of Endoscopy procedures at NCN Health” – Nathalia Cobram Numurkah (NCN) Health
- “Implementation of Ultrasound-guided cannulation at Albury Wodonga Regional Cancer Centre” – Ramsay Health
Each project team guided the audience through the journey of their project – from how their ideas were sparked, the insights discovered during diagnostics work, the solutions they designed and have put into practice, the early results they are seeing so far, and what’s next on their journey.
The event brought together a diverse audience of clinicians, executives and managers from organisations across the region, fostering rich discussions and networking amongst attendees.
The MK Grants Program will run again in 2026, look out for further information coming later in the year.
